Description
We have 6 types of the freshest cut trees. Far and away the most popular is the Fraser Fir. Frasers have a great scent, are long-lasting and have stiff branches for holding ornaments. Give us a call for specific sizes, pricing and availability.
- Fraser Fir Lush traditional look with dark green needles and pleasant fragrance. Table top-size up to 14'.
- Noble Fir A hard to find Christmas classic with tiered, sturdy branches. 4 to 9.5'.
- Canaan Fir Similar to Balsam but with darker green needles. 6 to 9.5'.
- Natural Balsam Fir The "Charlie Brown" tree. Wide open, straight from the woods look. 6 to 10'.
- Nordmann Fir Soft, dark green needles with a silvery underside. Unsheared, natural appearance. 6 to 10'.
- White Pine Long soft green needles. Familiar pine scent. 5 to 7.5'.
We offer tree delivery, installation and removal (after the holidays). The cost for each is 10% of the total tree cost plus $35 for most surrounding zip codes. Or we will make a fresh cut, wrap and load your tree for you to take home right away.
Christmas Tree Tips
Nursery Manager, Brian Wolff, offers these tips for selecting and caring for a real tree.
- To check for freshness run your hand along the branches and make sure the needles are not falling off. Be sure to watch the needles on the branch you are pulling on. Keep in mind that the trees will have many old needles on the inside so even the freshest trees may drop some needles.
- The branches should be flexible and not snap or be brittle when bent.
- The tree should get a fresh cut at the bottom with at least an inch removed and placed in very warm water within an hour. The trunk should always be in water after that point.
- The tree should be placed in a spot where heat vents do not blow on it.
- We sell a preservative that can be added to the water to maintain freshness.
