- Put the gear selector in reverse and the available rear view camera automatically transmits the image of what's behind you to your rearview mirror, when you're slowly backing up. If your Fusion is equipped with the available SYNC® with MyFord Touch,® the image is shown on the eight-inch touch screen. The rear view camera is included in the Technology Package, which is optional on the Fusion SE and standard on the Fusion Titanium.
- While you're driving slowly near parking spots, simply activate available active park assist and it looks for an available parking spot. Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the curb and between parked cars. Once a spot that's big enough is identified, you're signaled to stop and accept the system's assistance. All you do is control the shifting, accelerating and braking.
- Activate the available adaptive cruise control and it functions just like normal cruise control- — with one exception. When adaptive cruise control sensors detect traffic slowing immediately ahead of you, your vehicle also slows down, based on your preset distance. When its sensors detect traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes the set speed. Forward collision warning with brake support will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A "heads-up" display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don't react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake.
- The available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert helps make driving more convenient. Using radar in the rear quarter panels to identify if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot, you're alerted with an indicator light in the appropriate sideview mirror.
