Precision Cold Forming of a Brass Screw for the Aerospace Industry

The brass screw shown here was manufactured for use within an industrial connector application. Manufactured on our 3/16" National cold header, the screw measured .609" in length, with on outside head diameter of .216", and a 6-32 UNC-2A thread. The customer supplied drawings called for tolerances of ±.005", and a true position of .010". This brass screw featured a natural finish, and received dimensional inspection throughout the manufacturing process.
