Sucker Rod Cushions

Sucker Rod Cushions are installed on Oil well pumping units. TecsPak® cushions are made from a highly engineered elastomeric product designed to absorb more energy per unit of weight and volume than most known materials. They are designed to absorb shock as the sucker rod is raised and lowered. Up to four pads of TecsPak® are fixed between steel plates and mounted on the top of the pumping unit's hanger bar. The pads reduce rod vibration and shock on wells with peak polished rod loads up to 44,000 lb (196 kN). Each pad measures approximately 6 in. in diameter by 3 to 5 in. high.
